warning - possible emo post

What does one do when it seems that you are inadequate for the task, especially a task which may well be something that God entrusts you for life? When it seem that it is something entirely out of character and your realm of experience?

When a shepherd boy is thrust with kingship, when a wanderer in the desert is tasked to be a revolutionary leader of a nation, when a farmer is tasked to build a ship when 'rain' is a foreign concept?

You keep trusting, believing, relying, taking it one day at a time, never giving up. And, on looking back, marvelling at the miracles which God has done.

It is possible with God, I CHOOSE to believe so, I CHOOSE to love.

Quick thought

NU 12:3 (Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.)

Which, if we define humility (or at least part of it) as dependence on God, means that Moses depended on God more than anyone else ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH. He was literally the world record holder for dependance on God. And perhaps, that's why he got to see God's glory.

How dependent are we today?

A few things...

First, from the most amazing, wonderful woman in the world to me =)

MT 12:46 While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. 47 Someone told him, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you."

MT 12:48 He replied to him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?" 49 Pointing to his disciples, he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers. 50 For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."

28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church-- 30 for we are members of his body. 31 "For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." 32 This is a profound mystery--but I am talking about Christ and the church.

Can you see it? The fact is, Christ DID set the example for all husbands, identifying Himself with the church more than He did His physical family. I'm NOT saying He 'divorced' Himself from His physical family, yet Jesus DID strongly identify with the Church as His bride. How proud are we of our groom? How much do WE identiy with Him.

Howsit two people can sleep the same number of hours, and yet one person feels absolutely rested, while the other still feels drained?

Perhaps, it's quite the same as how some babies cry themselves to sleep. We WORRY ourselves to sleep, and perhaps subconciously, never really DO rest and sleep.

I still need to let go and trust You more... Help me Father.
