Being in a relationship gives you the slight advantage of actually having a logical reason to read relationship books =P Two that I've read are now "For women only" and "For men only". They are FANTASTIC books, read em both, you'll understand yourself AND your partner better. You realize that some things, some needs, some things are just well, male =P
And yet the deeper part of it, what I am reminded again, is this:
Phil 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
YES, your partner can and DOES have a role in fulfilling some of your emotional needs, but, BUT, God will always be your number one source, and well, God IS enough. Don't look FIRST to your partner, ALWAYS to God. He IS enough. But also remember, God might well be using YOU to meet some of those needs! =)

So...
Yes, I HAVE been reading/listening to alot of Bill Johnson. Something in my spirit just goes: "YES! THAT'S WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR IN MY LIFE!"
Something he said:
We either live FOR an identity or FROM an identity.
I AM a Child of God, I don't live to BECOME one.

Something to consider...
While both Law and Grace have commandments, Grace comes with an inbuilt ability to obey what was commanded. Under Grace I don't get a road map... I get a tour guide-the Holy Spirit. He directs, reveals and empowers me to be and do what the Word says.

Our God
This song has just really been on my spirit/soul/heart:
Our God - Chris Tomlin (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_t_87NyHx0)
Verse 1:
Water You turned into wine
Opened the eyes of the blind
There’s no one like You
None like You
Into the darkness You shine
Out of the ashes we rise
There’s no one like You
None like You
Chorus:
Our God is greater, our God is stronger
God You are higher than any other
Our God is Healer, awesome in power
Our God, Our God…
Our God is greater, our God is stronger
God You are higher than any other
Our God is Healer, awesome in power
Our God, Our God…
Bridge:
And if Our God is for us, then who could ever stop us
And if our God is with us, then what can stand against?
And if Our God is for us, then who could ever stop us
And if our God is with us, then what can stand against?
What can stand against?
Rom 8:31 What, then, SHALL we say in response to these things? If God is FOR us, WHO can be against us?

Thoughts
Yeah, yeah, I know, I haven't been blogging that much. I THINK that will change soonish.
So after wheedling (somewhat =P) a "yes" out of Karen as to whether I could go Para para, I popped off to Crown, since, for whatever reason, it's the only arcade which I know off that has a Para para machine. And to my horror, yes, you guessed it, Galactic circus had REMOVED said Para para machine. Which left me with... DDR
So I'm pretty decent at Para para, I LIKE para para, which, Karen says is probably because I'm pretty good at it, which is probably quite true. It also gives you quite a workout if you do it long enough.
DDR on the other hand, I have never tried, or maybe once in the distant recesses of time. And to be honest, I really doubted I could pull it off.
Which brings me to two reminders which I got reminded about after all is said and done:
1) You ain't seen nothin' yet!
So there's this kid who's at the arcade who showed me the reason why DDR machines have this back rest like thingy on the machine. You use em to support you while your feet dance at the speed of light. This kid ROCKS, and I mean rocks, as in REALLY rocks. He was probably dancing at the fastest speed/hardest difficulty, and STILL getting like 30, 40+ combos.
And well, sometimes I STILL think that I've seen it all, I know it all. Sometimes. Sometimes God has to remind me that He will KEEP BLOWING MY MIND. I just need to keep looking out for it!
2) Never try, never know.
I discovered that for a first time DDR player, I'm actually pretty decent. =) I STILL think para para is easier, but then, hand movements are a bit more intuitive I guess. The proof? Said kid from above actually asked me if he could versus me after seeing me play for a while. =D
Now I KNOW that I'm no where near his standard (heck, I probably can't touch that kid even with like, YEARS of practice), but well, you gotta pat your own back sometimes ^^*
And well, it's the same with living for God, never try, never know. So... I gotta keep trying!
John 14:12 - Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
P.S I'm seriously contemplating getting a DDR game and mat =D

Warning, rant, emo post
If one needs to aim for the moon to do their best, does that mean that doing your best is accompanied by constant failure? If one does not fail, does that mean that one is not aiming high enough? If one keeps succeeding, does that mean that one should aim higher? ARRRGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
